From slum to success: Kajal’s journey
Kajal Kumari, a bright and ambitious 18-year-old, has defied all odds to achieve her dreams. Born and raised in a slum near the Digha canal in Patna, Kajal's life was marked by poverty and hardship. Her father's passing left her mother, a municipal sweeper, as the sole breadwinner for their family of five. Kajal was brought to Gyan Vigyan Rainbow Home in 2014, where she received support and guidance to pursue her education. After completing her 8th standard, Kajal left the home in 2021, but Rainbow Home continued to mentor her. When Kajal's mother considered marrying her off at a young age, Rainbow Home stepped in, counseling her to let Kajal pursue further education because education would empower Kajal to become self-sufficient, enabling her to meet her own needs without having to rely on others. Recognizing Kajal's enthusiasm and potential, we encouraged her to enroll in the Bajaj Skill Development Course This pivotal moment changed Kajal's life. She enrolled in the Bajaj Skill Development Course, despite being a 10th-grade student. Her exceptional communication and presentation skills earned her a placement at The Landmark Hotel in Muzaffarpur. Kajal has embarked on a new journey, with the hotel providing her with travel arrangements, food, and accommodation. Her story is a testament to the power of support, guidance, and determination. Kajal's success inspires us to believe in the potential of every individual, regardless of their background. We wish her all the best for her future endeavors!
